'Painted Words'
SALA Exhibition in collaboration with writer Harry Gent
at thr Grace Emily Hotel   

A series of 13 paintings inspired by Harry's poems. Each painting uses my surplus mural paints to upcycle found canvases and boards. Each poem is hand written by Harry in a second hand frame. These paintings were scattered around the eclectic pub like a treasurehunt amongst the classic collection of paintings and things hanging on the walls.

 

The opening party had live music by The Ridlers & food by Si Papi - Ear music, Eye Art, Mouth Food with approx 200 people in attendance.

A couple of these have been printed onto larger scale windows as part of the City of Adelaide vacant tenancy project with Harry's writing edited into the paintings.
